The Obel and Post Office

Discussion in 'Architecture' started by Deebo, Dec 8, 2023.

  1. A long exposure of the tallest building in Belfast and the back of the post office sorting depot.
I cant decide if I should crop out the stone work?
Let me know your thoughts, but I kinda like the colour of the brick

  2. Stonework looks good to me. Smashing shot.
  3. Again, love the composition - the rich colours are fantastic. I'd keep the stone work - adds a smashing extra colour punch. Sky not half bad too - how did you do the long exposure in such bright light?
  4. Really had to ramp the iso and had a few filters. But I had a big light behind me and the glow from other buildings really gave the sky an odd glow.
  5. that's certainly knee wobbler - brill

It's that crack in the concrete that's alarming me.

Love the angle, colours and the framing as colleagues have said...it's a fab shot. Just send a copy to the building manager please...
  7. The concrete works well in showing the difference in age and building styles.

    That concrete won't be structural.

    Great shot!
  9. Good spot and shot. Fab angle and colours.
  10. Thanks folks . This street has so many great angles and reflection shots available.
    Stay tuned for more....
  11. Great POV
