Just back from a week in the Lakes. Thursday at 1pm it stopped raining for an hour. It rained the rest of the week - a lot! This was Tuesday in Grasmere, in the Wordsworth Daffodil Garden. Snowdrops by Dave Green, on Flickr
It's a lovely garden there and the daffs are of course compulsory. But let's not forget his other works. Full marks for giving us a focus on something else, with fine light and those droplet details. Chaste Snowdrop, venturous harbinger of Spring, And pensive monitor of fleeting years! (1819)
