Great Crested Grebes in summer plumage are really smart looking birds. I was tipped off on a good place to see them at a reservoir in Monmouthshire. This pair had already built a nest and were taking it in turns to guard the eggs. I'll certainly be returning when the young are born. Another fine shot - beautiful colours on the birds. I don't think I have ever seen a Great Crested Grebe in the flesh, let alone captured one!
A favourite bird and their rituals are a joy to behold. I look forward to seeing the family album develop from a fine start here!
