Went to watch a certain Sir Nigel Gresley go steaming past in the dark. Then it went a bit Pete Tong. I took my XT2 with over 50% on the battery, I did have a spare fully charged battery with me, but guess what, the battery ran out of steam just before the train was due. Hand in pocket no battery, bugger I've left it in the car parked up not far away. So I set my phone recording video and went to the car grabbed the battery and waddled back to the camera, just in time to see the train, tried to get the camera off the tripod and put fresh battery in, trying to do this in the dark was a massive fail. Yep all those line to lead in! I was due to see SNG this morning going back to base at Grosmont. Overspelt and woke up just as it passed Lancaster!
