Just a passing snapshot, but I like it.

OK. So I photograph giant cats.

You photograph giant flies.

Let's see who's best. :D

(Er, how do I size it down a bit - I just imported it from me Bucket o'photos program as it came...? Help...)

Thanks. Did see that, but didn't want it to lose my original full sizer.

Try this, also from Tenerife. The largest single perspex tube in the world, apparently. But resized, for your pleasure...

Both on a slow shutter speed with tripod and my Fuji S7000.

Cool!

Why not just save the big pic back to your PC first then resize the one on photobucket?

Dvorak

Yeah, I was being greedy as I have them on the PC as well (and on a DVD, and VCD...and probably a canvas painting too.) Will behave next time.

Cat was 1/10 second at F3.1. It was called Pedro.

Just available light ? No flash ?

Oy

I see you used your lense at 31mm and with flash too :)

Dvorak

Nah, I used the built in pop up flash, 'fraid. It was the middle of the night and the puss was getting impatient.

The fish tower was F1.5 Exposure 1/5.3 seconds. No flash. (The sign said so. And I am a good boy. I did ask the fish to stay still for a mo, but I don't speak Spanish that well).

And how did Mr Oy get that info??? Do tell...

No it wasn't - it was F2.8 at 1/5.3 :D

And how did Mr Oy get that info??? Do tell...

Bah! Real life Trojan horse.

From Winstanley.

You are right. I was looking at the wrong bit of the EXIF info whilst distracted by letters to my friendly insurance company (you don't want to know). Now leave me alone to my secrets!

If I say take a good photo {titter} then I want to remember the settings so that I can use them again......see?

Irfanview Minnie...

www.irfanview.com

1 of the web's best bits of free software! :D

So, what I was doing to get the info, you were too?!

Can't quite work out how. You find out the image location, go into my Photobucket. But when I do that in Irfanview, I get an empty field for information.

Come on, Paul Daniels, share the secret!! :?: :?:

Oy
15-09-2005, 09:08 PM
LOL!

Much simpler - I just save your image onto my Desktop :D

Dvorak
15-09-2005, 09:11 PM
:?: Tried that, but it won't give me all the information.

PS: for anyone else following this private conversation, ignore us and go explore Irfanview - a great little programme for playing your piccies (and MP3s, too)

Got it now, the same way exactly I was getting the info for myself originally earlier tonight when I first posted. I was trying to check all the info options on folks' avatars to save flicking back a page to my original pix, but EXIF info ain't on them. So now I know. All my secrets are out there. Bet you know what shirt I was wearing as well...

Cheers for the lesson, as always.
