What are you using at the moment ? If you're thinking of buying something you'd probably be better off buying Photoshop since there's more articles and help available for that than anything else.
I think I'm the odd man out here by using Paint Shop Pro , which I'm happy with , but being able to get help from other members would be nice.
I'd definately recommend Photoshop Elements 4.
Not only does it do almost everything that full photoshop does (everything you need for sure) but it's a fraction of the cost. £60 as opposed to abouit £350.
Also - as has been mentioned - almost every photo magazine is geared up to giving its help & tutorials aimed at the Photoshop way of doing things.
Also - you'll get more help here for it :)
Ta for the replies guys.
I saw an offer for 82p! for 5 of their programs.
It turns out that you can download .5 of all the versions on the net.
(when I say.5....it's .5 version.)

I've upgraded from elements 3 to 4. I can send you elements 3 disk if you want it.

Did you by an upgrade or a full version of Elements 4?
If you bought an upgrade then you cannot legally give away your copy of Elements 3.

But you never know what else you might inadvertently be receiving with sites like that

Thats a tricky one. I got the version 3 free with a capture card, but I bought a new complete version of 4 from a shop. Is it illegal to give away legitimate software with its own unique serial no. to somebody else if you didn't directly buy it..... or are we just being over zealous with our concerns.
As long as you have a full license for Elements 4 - not an upgrade - then you can give your copy of Elements 3 away legally.
Bo - get in there! Elements 3 is exactly what you need :)
OMG I must have dreamt it
Did I miss somthing?
