Heads in't bin!

My pc is driving me mad again.

When I put the modem on stand by the pc seems to hang for ages.

I have got zone alarm running and it seems to try and send (the green and red bars go up and down) for ages.


Anyone help?

Why do you put the modem on standby?

I used to - and I got problems - so now I don't.

Everything in my house with a standy button , TV , video etc , gets turned off or unplugged. Everything except my modem that is , because I had the same problems.

I could just leave it on....but why have a standby button?

I have narrowed it down to the Generic host process for win 32.

I also think it is related to Z/A.
