Unfortunately my Digital SLR isn't ideal for trekking for 12 days when there is no access to a computer nor power for that matter. I could simply buy means of backing up data on the field and taking extra batteries but this would induce extra weight and more liability for things getting lost or stolen.
So i'm looking to either buy/borrow a fairly decent Film camera. I would prefer one that had the mod pros of Auto Metering and maybe Aperture Priority. Mainly it has be very rugged and last a bit of a beating, also very long lasting of power. Quality is at top of my list as well, lens is important (around a 18-70mm). Of course it has to be a SLR or I might as well just take a little compact which won't do any gustiest. I have access to a Film Scanner so of course getting them to digital is no problem.

Anyone can help?

it sounds like it's going to take some battering crh. Beware that if it gets broke then your going to be looking at having to replace it. I would not feel right in lending stuff off someone, knowing its going to be used in harsh conditions. Whats wrong with using a compact? you can carry loads of batteries and memory cards, and store it in a backpack very easy.

film cameras don't drain the power too much, so I won't have to keep buying new ones. Also SLR over compact because I can be a little more creative and I can control it more.

I have a couple of SLR's in my shed, will look them out and see what condition they are in. You may have to buy batteries, but if lenses and cameras can be of use for p&p you can have them. I will pm you details in next couple of days
