Got this from Charlie Elliot WMA at the drained lake

Looking a little drab this time of year perhaps.
Not one we've seen in the flesh back in the Old World so it's always a treat to find a new friend on here, thanks for sharing.
Nice lighting and sharp focus, good smooth bg too.
Thanks for commenting. Not a flashy bird to start with but here is one you might like better

Thanks Shirley. Posted another in reply to Dv
super shot, super boidie [as my g.daughter would say!]
Thank you Polly
My g.daughters over there are funny, the youngest uses the 'oi' in words alot, the other doesn't.
Thank you for the extra shot.
I wasn't complaining about your image but it's good to see more of the colour on its breast now though.
I know but figured you would like this one better, does have a bit of color
You cant beat a nice bird shot against a plain background.
Lovely looking bird and well captured mate.
That's a lovely little bird and yes... with a nice, clean background
Thanks. When they sit they flick their tail feathers up and down some. Easy to spot them with that trait.
Nice one Glenn Another great bird photo. I also like the second one
Another vote for the second. Bit more colour on display and obviously not as drab. Both good and sharp though.
