Eurasian Eagle Owl

Discussion in 'Flora & fauna' started by DaveInFL, Jun 30, 2014.

  1. Not the best background I know :( What can I do with this background to make it better? How would one go about deleting the background and just making it plain white or black? Is it easy or it takes time?

    Stansgang Keep it straight!

I don,t think it would be to difficult to cut out the bird Dave and place it on another background, worth a try.

Yeah that wouldn't be that hard.

    You'd need a feathered selection ;):p:D
  4. Not sure what software you use but photoshop has a "magnetic lasso" which would be a really good point to start with and then as Oy says a bit of feathering /adding/subtracting depends how accurate you want it how long it'd take. Sometimes it's quicker to go back and re-take if it's possible :D
  5. Cool birdy! Removing backgrounds is something beyond me as yet!
  6. great birdy
you can use the quick selection tool at a very low pixel setting to select the bird
  7. I have tried one of the selection tools but I always seem to have a hard time with it. Maybe I just lack the patience!!

Forget the "do it for you" tools and learn to use the pen tool :)

I need lessons/patience with the pen tool. This shot looks like a good place to practice.
