Today is (apparently) Portfolio Day: a social media tag for creatives to publicise their work widely.

A little more locally, I am reliving the last year on the forum. Despite all the big distractions, it's good to find a wide variety of memories. Thanks for your feedback at the time as I shared them. Here are some again...

1 Starting with a fun one which was picked up for a magazine:

2 Cotter Force from a slightly different angle to use the light, with memories of being in good company:

3 Strome Castle on Loch Carron:

4 A variety of transport around the eye catching Vauxhall Station, again with a Nutter friend on a pleasant urban mooch followed by grub, which is what we're all about on here:

5 Retired famous players from Wigan Athletic and Manchester United held a charity match at the little ground at the end of our street (they even write their name on the ball!):

6 I waited 'til the last moment before her face went out of shot on the carnival float to get a lot in the frame and ensure a little scene was captured:

7 A little bug porn. Latin name Ischnura elegans being far from elegant at the local reserve:

8 In the ruins of St Maelrubha's old church:

9 And from the same fine trip, we went over the sea to Skye and under the bridge at Sligachan:

    10 It made me smile:

11 I took my family on a mad journey round and round the Tor until we found a vista befitting the solstice:

12 Such events are a togger's paradise of course and there were lots of good moments at this gig in Lytham St Annes:

13 As is a traditional cheeky extra: one of my trademark amusing-but-not-arty shots to finish, and to ponder on its eco message, perhaps:

  5. Nice Dv. Good stuff for sure. The squirrel does get a big smile
  6. What a wonderful varied set and the snail really made my day. It's good to see you getting out and about. Here's to more of it this year :)
  7. Really great set of photos throughout the year. Very surprised not to see no sharp witted sign in the dozen. I can wait until next year :)
  8. Stansgang

    Stansgang Keep it straight!

Great varied set which is good to see and No 4 is my choice its like the structure is coming out of the shot well spotted.
  9. A smashing set, full of variety. Particularly like the simplicity of number 8, in the churchyard. Lovely stuff!
  10. Nice to see these for the first time. I love the laughing duck and the single bluebell.

And thanks for the thanks after my thanks... :)
  16. Typical DV, and in that spirit it’s the snail for me!

All in all a good year again for the nose flute aficionado.
  17. What's not to like here? A fine, varied set and each one has a story. No4 brings back happy memories and well spotted. No9 is my choice and I bet that would look good in mono :)
  18. What a fantastic and varied set, you certainly have a very good eye for this photography malarkey Dv and hard to choose my favourites, but here goes ... Cotter Force, under the bridge at Sligachan, Snail and finally It made me smile (because it made me smile also) ... and a special mention to the World War 2 re-enactment at Lytham St Annes shot just for purely having a Messerschmitt Bf 109E in the background ... fantastic :)
